                        The Army Corps of Engineers has closed the Walter F. George Lock, Chattahoochee River mile 181.5 until further notice due to structural damage on the lower miter gates. This will be a long term lock outage with repair closure schedule still undetermined. Questions concerning this lock should be directed to the ACF Project Management Office at (334) 232-4542. 07/21/2015

                        OPEN WITH RESTRICTIONSOPEN WITH RESTRICTIONS
                        A BANK FAILURE OCCURRED NEAR MILE 327.7 EHL IN THE GULF INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY, AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE GULF INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY WITH THE GULF COUNTY CANAL, NORTH OF PORT ST. JOE, FLORIDA. THIS BANK FAILURE CREATED EXTENSIVE SHOALING ACROSS THE ENTIRE WIDTH OF THE CHANNEL. THE DEEPEST POINT IN THE GULF INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY CHANNEL NEAR MILE 327.7 EHL IS CURRENTLY AROUND 8.5 FEET. THE CAPTAIN OF THE PORT MOBILE HAS RESTRICTED ALL TRAFFIC USING THE GULF INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY IN THIS AREA TO ONLY THAT TRAFFIC WITH A 8 FOOT DRAFT OR LESS. THIS BROADCAST WILL BE UPDATED AS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE. MARINERS ARE REQUESTED TO USE CAUTION WHILE TRANSITING THE AREA.
