Marine Casualty Reports
This page contains many of the currently available narrative type marine casualty reports. It includes reports stemming from Marine Board of Investigations, One Man Formal Investigations and other investigations. It does not reflect all reports and casualty information available. Incident Investigation Reports (marine casualty reports autogenerated from our database MISLE) represent the bulk of investigations performed and are not listed but can be accessed here: http://cgmix.uscg.mil/IIR/Default.aspx.

Congressman James Sener Award Winners
These investigations were recognized for being the finest marine casualty investigations throughout the Coast Guard for that calendar year. They were extremely professional, brought credit to the Marine Investigations Program and positively influenced marine safety. The Congressman James Sener Award started in 2001, was suspended following the attacks on September 11, 2001, and was re-instituted to begin with marine casualty investigations that were closed from CY2005 to the present.
